Savannah Canoe and Kayak

Thank you for joining us for SEA & SURF WEEKEND!
Here are a few helpful tips to help you.

Meeting Places:
All classes and day trips will meet at boat ramps and beach access points on Tybee Island.  Sea Kayaking and Surf Ski classes will meet on the beach at Inlet Avenue. Parking for these classes is available at Alley #3, Fisherman’s Walk, and Inlet Avenue. Stand Up Paddleboard and Surf Kayak classes will meet frontside at the 18th Street ramp in front of the Strand Parking Lot. There is ample parking for these classes here.

Parking:
Tybee Island is a Pay & Display community. There are parking machines located at each of the parking lots around the island. Credit cards are accepted. Please pay for parking and display your ticket on your vehicle’s dashboard to avoid getting a parking ticket.

Meeting Time:
Please meet your instructor and be ready to go 15 minutes before the program start time.

Restroom Facilities:
Restrooms for Sea Kayaking and Surf Ski classes are located at Fisherman’s Walk. Restrooms for the Stand Up Paddleboard and Surf Kayaking Classes are located in the Strand Parking Lot.

Items to bring:
Kayak, Ski, or Paddleboard (Also available to rent.)
Basic Paddling Kit (PFD, Sprayskirt)
Helmet for off shore/surf classes
Tow Belt for Intermediate/Advanced classes
Drinking water (at least 24 oz per person)
Sun protection (Sunscreen, Hat)
Snacks/Lunch
Water resistant camera
Eye glasses tether cord
Sufficient # of dry bags

What to wear:
Protective footwear that can get wet
Fleece, synthetic or quick dry clothing
Wet suits/Dry suits
Clothing for sun protection
Rain jacket/paddling jacket

Your guide/Instructor will have a shared dry bag for the group to safely store cell phones, keys, wallets, etc.

Cancellation Policy:
By making this reservation, you are entering a binding contract with Savannah Canoe and Kayak. If you cancel, or make any changes to your reservation, we require 14 days notice prior to the date of your class. Within the 14 day period, this reservation is non-refundable and non-transferable. We reserve the right to cancel your program at any time due to weather considerations. This decision is the sole responsibility of Savannah Canoe and Kayak. In the event of a weather cancellation, we will contact you at the number previously provided. You are then eligible for a full refund or a reschedule. You need to check in with your instructor on time, at least 15 minutes prior to your program. Failure to do so will result in a forfeiture of your reservation, and therefore your entitlement to a refund or reschedule.

**If you are late or fail to show up, you will not receive a refund or reschedule.
