Steve
Braden When doubt arises,
we say " What would Steve Braden do?". In nearly 20 years of
sea kayaking, Steve has paddled the GA Coast many, many times. A keen naturalist, Steve is dedicated to protecting and
preserving the GA Coast. He has also hiked the AT with his wife. Combined with his powerful and consistent technique, Steve's teaching
style is calm, kind and methodical. We are pleased to be associated with Steve,
who helps with our camping expeditions, full day, and
half day programs. Retired

Nick
Scoville From a very early age,
marine
biology, and all things to do with the ocean, have been a big part of Nick's life.
Aside from paddling a variety of canoes and kayaks, Nick is an
avid boat builder. His southern charm and guiding style is so laid back, you almost
need subtitles.. but his knowledge and enthusiasm for the marine
environment is infectious. Nick is also on our Savannah Surf
Team as top dog wave ski master.

environs and an enthusiastic personality for sharing it. You may
also be lucky enough to catch him playing stand-up bass in one
of Savannah's finest establishments. Kudos to Zach for recently
completing the AT Trail. ACA Flat Water Instructor |

Preston Orr
As SC&K's fashion guru, Preston is admired by many a
lass for his extensive hat collection both on water and
off. He has guided in the Low Country for ten years,
is our go-to guy for kayak fishing, and holds the proud title of
SC&K's Whitewater Thriller Man. Road trip, anyone? |

Kelly Dmetruk
Our Greenland Contingent! Stealth and sleek, Kelly wears
the traditional Greenland coat at SC&K. From making her own
skin-on-frame kayak, to sharing her love of the many beautiful
Greenland rolls, Kelly reminds us of the roots and evolution of
kayaking. When not teaching, rolling, or surfing, Kelly also
bears the burden of office assistant for behind the scenes
SC&K foundational support. |

Larry
Dixon Larry started looking for
the perfect kayak about 20 years ago. He has since owned just about every
sea kayak available and financially supported GA coast paddle sports from day
one. Rumored to be working for the CIA, Larry can be easily recognized on the
water... often not sitting
in his cockpit, and perhaps surfing backwards on large waves without a
paddle! We can think of no one better than Larry to run our Kayaks 101 class.
