Savannah Canoe and Kayak Overview Map

Savannah Canoe and Kayak is located on the east side of Savannah. There are several ways to get to the shop, but we recommend Victory Drive as one of the easiest-to-follow routes. Victory Drive is highlighted with a red dotted line in Map No. 1 above.

From Victory Drive (Eastbound): Follow Victory Drive east from Savannah. Pass under the Truman Parkway and continue through the next three traffic lights - one at the parkway entrance /exit ramps, one at Wallin Street, and one at Skidaway Road. Get in the left lane. Approx. one-half mile after the intersection with Skidaway, look for the red awning of a bike shop on your right, and Coach's Corner (a sports bar) on your left. Turn left here onto Downing Avenue. Continue three-quarters of a mile to Bonaventure Road, turn right, and then left into the Savannah Canoe and Kayak parking area.

If you missed the turn onto Downing Avenue, you can turn left at the next traffic light at Whatley Avenue, or the next at River Drive. Follow either to Bonaventure Road and continue to Savannah Canoe and Kayak. (Refer to westbound directions and map.)

From Victory Drive (Westbound): Approaching Savannah on U.S. Hwy 80 (also shown as Saffold Drive on some street maps), cross over the Wilmington River. Hwy 80 becomes Victory Drive west of the bridge. At the traffic light at the foot of the bridge, bear right onto River Drive. River Drive becomes Bonaventure Road after it's intersection with Mechanics Avenue. Follow Bonaventure Road another nine-tenths of a mile to Savannah Canoe and Kayak. Turn right into the parking area.
