The latest design from Mega is the Merlin. A slightly
larger volume, slightly longer version of the Reflex, with a few tweaks
along the way. Widest part of the boat has been moved back just behind
the hips. Loads of nose rocker, flat hull. The front rails have
been softened forward for more forgiving transitions. For a faster release from
the wave face, there is a shallow V on the hull at the tail. This
also translates to super responsiveness in the rear. All
in all, it's a comfier, friendlier, faster Reflex with exceptional
performance. Not recommended for beginners, geeks, or
those of a nervous disposition. This boat is very 'high performance'. It
rips.
