OUR INSTRUCTIONAL PACKAGES ARE DESIGNED WITH THREE GOALS IN MIND...

1/ To form a relationship between Coach and Student.

2/ To enable student's skill level to progress rapidly while maintaining good form.

3/ To provide the student with a base knowledge, upon which to reflect, experiment and expand.

LEARN TO ESKIMO ROLL 3 x 2hr Lessons. $150

Relieve the pressure of trying to master the technique in 2 hours. Enables the student to perfect not only the roll but also braces and Eskimo rescues. A relaxed and fun course for anyone of any ability.

STROKE DEVELOPMENT (OLD BCU 3 STAR) 2 x 3hr Lessons. $150 per person

If you are making a few mistakes or are not sure if what your doing is up to snuff, this course is great. Splitting the lesson enables the student to go away and practice before the next session -Learn, Practice, Correct. Includes video and photo analysis. Classes are conducted on flat, protected waterways.

ROUGH WATER DEVELOPMENT (OLD BCU 4 STAR) 3 x 3hr Lessons. $195 per person

Once you've mastered your 3 Star skills, the 4 Star certification allows you to put these skills to use on the open ocean. The only way to really get comfortable paddling in rough water is to clock a lot of hours doing so - the 'Tybee Triangle' is the perfect place to spend this time. We will go over rescues and surf landings many times until it becomes second nature. We will even get you rolling in the surf. Classes will coincide with high tide to maximize the surf zones. By the end of this course, you will be ready to take and pass your 4 star test. The only prerequisite for this course is solid basic strokes and braces.

Custom courses can be put together to suit your paddling needs. Give us a call and we will write a program of instruction just for you!. Here are a few suggestions that have worked out very well for previous clients.

INTRO TO PADDLING ON THE GEORGIA COAST - 2 Days - $175 per person.

Tybee Island / Little Tybee- 2 days- Weekdays or Weekends. One full day of Instruction followed by a Full Day trip down the Georgia Coast. Lunch included both days. Minimum of 2 people. Maximum of 4.

The first day will cover everything you need to know to get you started in the sport of Sea Kayaking. Gear, boats and strokes in the morning followed by tide, charts and currents during lunch and capsize and recovery practice in the afternoon. It's a lot of fun with plenty of time spent on the water. On the second day (9am -3pm) we will put to use what was learned the previous, and take a trip down the ocean side of Little Tybee, stopping for lunch on it's awesome beaches.

This is a great weekend for either those thinking about taking up the sport of kayaking or those who just want an exciting and interesting weekend. If you are coming from out of town, we can also help you find accommodations.

SEA KAYAKING FUNDAMENTALS AND BEYOND - 2 Days - $225 per 2 person minimum

Tybee Island / Little Tybee- Weekdays or Weekends. 2 Full Days of Instruction. Lunch included both days.

After mastering the basic strokes on flat water, we will go looking for some waves to spice things up a bit. All aspects of paddling on the sea will be touched upon and then put to the test. This course includes a kayak surf workshop. It is recommended for advanced beginners, paddlers with no previous formal instruction, and those interested in paddling on the open ocean.

FAST & LITE SEA KAYAK CAMPING TRIP - Overnight camping trip- Little Tybee. 2 Days - 1 Night $265 per person. All camping gear and food provided. Camp chores shared.

Not your regular camping trip. Both days will include Instruction, with some paddling done on the ocean. These trips are designed for those looking for the next step from day trips, with a future desire to undertake their own self guided adventures. These are fully guided and instructional based adventures for paddlers with basic foundation of skills. More ground is covered and clients are expected to get involved in the 'infield' descision making and trip planning. We use Little Tybee as our training ground during which time we will attempt to circumnavigate the island. This program is not recommended for those just starting out in the sport of sea kayaking.

SEA KAYAKING FOUNDATION COURSE - 5 Days - $425 per person *Highly recommended

Get really established in the sport of sea kayaking. Previous clients have used this class a guide training program. We will take you from a complete beginner to a comfortable intermediate paddler with a broad range of skills and a healthy respect for the ocean environment. The week includes three full days split up with two half days. We will progress at your rate with a little persuasion from us. By the end of this week you will be comfortable paddling in a variety of conditions including waves and breaking surf up to 3ft.You will master lots of different rescue techniques along with acquiring good on-water judgment calls and group management skills.

This is a crash course and you will get the most out of it if you are in good shape and eager to progress. Level of excitement and fun is 'high'.

SEA KAYAK CAMPING - KAYAK EXPEDITION ON THE GA COAST

5 days in March and also October. $ 395 per person

Launching from Tybee Island, we will head out on the high seas with our destination some 50 miles down the coast at Sapelo Island. The group will be limited to 4 paddlers of good intermediate skills (BCU 3 star and above). We will paddle front-side much of the way, camping on small hammocks before reaching Sapelo. We will then spend 1 night in Hog Hammock-style accommodations before paddling to the pick-up point near Darien.

Each paddler will be responsible for all their own gear and supplies. Camp and guide responsibilities will be shared.
