Savannah Canoe and Kayak Calendar: sea kayaking and surf kayaking the Georgia Coast

There was young Girl Scout named Kristin who loved the outdoors. Nothing put a bigger smile on her face than trying new activities and learning about the world around her. As she grew older, she traveled further and further, continuing to 'find out'. After many adventures in foreign lands, she moved to the coast of Georgia to become a sea kayak guide. Now Kristin and her team love nothing more than to share their knowledge and experience of the outdoors with other Girl Scouts.

Full speed ahead! Adventure sports are fun and exciting! Let us introduce you to sea kayaking... learn to launch, turn, tip, and zigzag. Challenge yourself with an obstacle course and race your friends to the finish!
Thar she blows! An introduction to sea kayaking. We'll take a closer look at the boats, gear and everything 'kayaky'. Learn a few nautical terms as well as some very useful knots - always useful for showing up the boys!
All hands on deck! This is a great badge for the girls as it is a foundation for all water-based activities and careers. Safety exercises, balancing acts, swimming, and water games all increase comfort and confidence with the marine environment.
