Otherwise known as Nigel and Kristin Law, they are a husband and wife team and owners of Savannah Canoe and Kayak. Originally from England,  Nigel's outdoor career in the United States began as a Program Director at a camp for the disabled. Prior to Savannah Canoe and Kayak, his professional experience in the paddlesports industry included working as a manager and guide trainer at a local outfitter's, and instructing and guiding for Rutabaga Outdoor Programs in the Great Lakes area. As well as studying in the Middle East and Eastern Europe, Kristin has a Degree in Anthropology and speaks several languages. She has been a commercial kayak guide and instructor for 12 years.

"We moved to the Georgia Coast for one reason... the paddling. With dozens of undeveloped barrier islands, lazy rivers, and a terrific climate, the little discovered Georgia Coast is a painter's paradise. That's why we started Savannah Canoe and Kayak.

A few years ago we paddled 3,000 miles from Wisconsin to the Florida Keys - and then took on the even more ambitious project of writing a book about it. Other trips have taken us to many parts of the world...Central America, Africa, India, and Europe. We hope to continue pushing our way through the waters of the world one stroke at a time.

Now, after nine years of growth and building support, and thousands of on-water trips, classes, and adventures, we have opened Savannah's largest paddlesports retail store. We are pleased to provide a full range of services, both on-water and off,  to promote the great sport of paddling, and to play our part in helping to preserve this beautiful coast.
